The Seance game player is close to the player in voice of the mummy. It has a new top and bottom case design. They also removed the speed controller, custom made a precision toy motor to run at 1.5v, at an exact rpm and under the load of the belt turntable and needle.  Then they added a snubber diode across the motor to clip the waveform and combat the loss of motor torque during the electromagmonetic rotation.  This will give you smooth rotation of the turntable.

QUICK FIX! Every game that I have seen so far, the motors are rock solid.  They just need a shot of Radio Shag Contact Cleaner down the two holes atop the motor.

 

With the battery installed, lightly press down on the lid close switch.  Then, at the same time help the motor turn by rotating the brass pully underneath with your index finger and your opposable thumb.  It will slowly come back to life!
